#194 :
first, I apologise for my sotong-ness.
yesterday I was too high and too blur,
& I forgot junhean’s birthday is also in the Sep.
his is on the 29th Sep.
ok people, don’t say I never remind you all.
LOL.
since today marks the 2008 Beijing Olympics,
& the closing ceremony I will miss it.
cos I didn’t watch the opening.
& I hate to watch things halfway.
so forget it.
I will bring up 3 issues in this year’s Olympics that certainly shocked the world,
& shaked the people.

it was him, who brought 8 earthquakes to Earth.
It might be accidental, but certainly,
everyone sees his effort.
many people say this is a world miracle,
a rare miracle.
ha, we will say this is his glorious year in his whole entire life.
I read it from somewhere,
they said he was born to be a over-active,
& his whole entire skeleton is born to be like a fish.
his broad shoulders, & his narrow legs.
only in water he can excel.
even walking on land may trip him & make him a fool.
his efforts from young, from an age of 7, and under vigorous training by his coach,
he shines beyond America,
& becomes the 2008 Hero in the Water.
He is Michael Phelps.
applause, shan’t we? (:
next, 3 women that brought a country up on the level of success.

In the Olympic women's table tennis team event,
these three women managed to create a national miracle.
not a world-based,
but at least, cut the wait for at least a medal after 48 years.
Their opponent is China.
& I saw the newspaper the other time about the predictions,
All the MPs said it was a 50-50 chance,
only one that said there’s no hope.
Maybe China team is really too strong,
but Li Jiawei, Wang Yuegu and Feng Tianwei,
indeed did Singapore proud of their determination.
although Li Jiawei lost the bronze medal to Guo Yue in the Singles,
their efforts in the whole have proved it to us.
We are small, but we are strong (:

When this Chinese hurdler brought bad news to his own country and to all his supporters,
many fans scolded him and insulted him.
behind glory and happiness, there is always somebody sorrowing.
perhaps we are tired of seeing people winning all the time,
its time we should look at failures.
Liu Xiang is an expected Gold medalist in this Olympics,
but perhaps of stress and too much expectations being put on him,
it was a slight turn in reality.
it was time to make us think.
when people are welcoming and enjoying successes,
there are always people in failures.
but the important thing is to stand up.
Liu Xiang stood up, & decided to come back again in 2012 London Olympics.
We should learn from him eh?
Cry, may work,
but it is a short & temporary medication one can take.
The permanent one, and the most effective one,
would be to face a failure &
to fight for a success again.
:D
