Let's have something special this time,
We watch a video before reading on :D
You should be familiar with this, you see this practically, everywhere, on any public transport you take.
If you don't know,
HAH! LAGGER! YOU'RE SERIOUSLY BEHIND THIS YO!-YO! THING!
Ohplease, by the way, this is not the trailer or preview of a new season of Phuachukang ahh.
Enjoy,
This project, named A Happy Journey Starts Like That!, was launched on the 23rd of May, together with the opening of the Circle Line, with its objectives: to promote graciousness on any public transport vehicle.
NOTE, keyword = GRACIOUSNESS
Hmmm, has this campaign succeeded?
UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH,
the definition of gracious first:
–adjective
1. pleasantly kind, benevolent, and courteous.
2. characterized by good taste, comfort, ease, or luxury: gracious suburban living; a gracious home.
3. indulgent or beneficent in a pleasantly condescending way, esp. to inferiors.
4. merciful or compassionate: our gracious king.
5. Obsolete. fortunate or happy.
[results from dictionary.com]
Today my public transport involved:
1. Lrt to CCK
2. Mrt to Buonavista
3. Bus to Kingalbertpark
4. Bus to Clementimrtstation
5. Mrt to Pasirrismrtstation
6. Mrt to Cityhallmrtstation
7. Mrt to CCK
8. Lrt to Home
& I exactly seriously wonder whether the graciousness act is eaten up by H1N1 bacteria,
1. I was in the morning train which was so quiet & practically everyone was looking down expressionlessly and frowning. I MEAN, well, it's not monday okay, but then the whole train seemed one which is driving a train of ghosts plus a living human (which is you know who, :D) towards hell.
2. I was in a train and when it arrived at a station, I saw a woman standing outside the door on the platform. I thought she got her position wrong, but I saw she was standing smack right in the centre, in front of the door?
3. I managed to get a kinda empty train at cityhall, cos' many people came out. Those seats with tags "Reserved seats" are all occupied except for some in the middle, one of two in between people with nonchalent looks.
4. I was standing against the plastic, & behind me, which is a priority seat, was occupied by a youngster which looks like he's in the twenties. An ahma walked in and stood RIGHT beside him. I caught your expression, young adult. He glanced up and quickly looked down at his bag, stumbled his hands into his bag on the floor & he was that busy for the next few stations till that ahma left.
5. I was standing at the door, waiting for the door to open at my fav CCK station so I can step out to my LRT station then home to take a bathe-, what I got when the door opened were two streams of people coming in from the side, leaving the centre a pathetic narrow gap for people to get out sideway-ly.
Hmmmm,
I hope what Phuachukang & Rosie did for this campaign doesn't go down to reasons like:
- oh, I am tired
- oh, I am sick
- oh, I don't really care-
