309: The Impossible Record @ Central, Clarke Quay
Sunday, June 28 @ 14:14

309th is reserved for two awful people who were even scarier than ghosts.
They scare people okay!

Teaser first :D

Before I start to rattle,
I would like to thank Shilun for accompanying me to this event.
It’s far too late, far too far.
8:45pm – 10+pm at Clarke Quay.

Uhm, shouldn’t hide anymore.
You know Shilun, BSP Camp Grp 1 Facil?
He’s my cousin ._.
I bet a lot of people can’t believe right?
For real lah, close your mouth.
(:

Yesterday I was invited to this event by the Omy committee to this event.

The Impossible Record

@ Central Mall Promenade, Beside Singapore River
15 Illusions in 5 Minutes
2 Illusionists: JC Sum & Magic Babe Ning
A great attempt in breaking the previous World Record

From the word “precious”, you should have guessed, they broke it!
:D
& I was part of history OKAY.
Heh.

Quite a time meeting Shilun at Clarke Quay MRT Station,
That’s around 8pm already.
Also, quite a time finding the place,
Cos that place is FREAKING huge.
But by the time we found Hokkaido Icecream,
It’s still early.
So we went to sit by the river & enjoy scenery.

I TELL YOU,
NIGHT SCENERY @ SINGAPORE RIVER IS FREAKING FREAKING NICE & BEAUTIFUL!
I almost thought it wasn’t Singapore!
Photos will tell you why countrypumpkin like me was so amazed. XD

Bungee JUMP!

Street Performance <3

Super fat people with super nice costume hitting musical drums.

Super tall people walk walk around. Heh.

So I met the Omy guy, & I was brought to the VIP area with the other bloggers.
Pathetic Shilun has to watch it from outside :X
Paiseh ah.
Managed to interact a bit, cos one of the bloggers started conversation, hah!
Show started, & I think the host was super cool.

Loads of press & media just behind us, lol.

VIP area entrance.

<3

OH, THIS HOST IS FUNNY TELL YOU.

Sardines' feeling.

So the host started to ask some questions and gave away prizes –
Eh I tell you,
There were close to thousand people there & the atmosphere was HIGHHHHHHH DAO-
After the questions, there was a Music-vid game!
He called up four volunteers to act as a Hindi music was played.
Some sort of mouth-to-mouth sing :D
My stomach cramped for a few minutes,
Why?
Watch these.

By the time this game finished, it was not 9:30pm yet.
So they showed us a video on the act the two magicians did in the same place last year.
The Impossible Teleportation.
They teleported 3 people across the Singapore River (250 metres) in 2.5 seconds.
Turned out to be headlines for magazines and newspaper for several weeks.
See how shocking that is.

Also, in 2007, JC Sum also tried teleporting himself up a 50-storey building within 5 seconds & succeeded.
Close your mouth.
Thanks, heh.

So, 9:30pm!
JC Sum and Magic Babe Ning came out & greeted the audience.
Atmosphere was real HIGH.
They went in to prepare and we just saw people pushing out props like cages, boxes etc.

So, five minutes started and both of them just spammed magic illusions in front of our eyes and I almost shocked till faint.
Those five minutes, was really one five-minute thing I would remember for life.
I am waiting for some kind soul to upload the exhilarating 5 minutes on Youtube.
‘cos I spent the five minutes wowing without my hand holding my camera to take them down.
Even if I held them, I would expect myself to put it down within the first minute.
I would want to experience those 5 minutes just concentrating my mind on my eyes, not the ache in my hands, hah.
15 professional magic stunts, all under my eyelids, in my eyeball.

Once up on Youtube, I would post it here.
Alternatively, you could check out news today. (:

They broke it.
They really broke it.
“Singapore finally on the World Map, in the World Record”
Although I was encouraged to stay till 10:30pm with a one-to-one interaction with the two magicians,
Which I could easily take photo with them, get their autographs and see them perform poker magic within 50 cm in front of my eyes,
But which kid doesn’t have a Mum nagging from home even you were so far from home?

AH,
I skipped it :X
I would regret it,
& real thanks to Omy for the invitation, but I’m really sorry.

OH RANDOM!
On the way home, on the train,
I spotted three pairs of similar shoes.

What a illusionary night,
Last but not least, thanks Omy & Shilun.
I got my eyes and mouth exercised. :D
