379: Lookout, Singapore!
Tuesday, May 11 @ 20:28

Well, I forgot the day when I started to worry about Singapore's safety.
Perhaps after the introduction of terrorism in lessons, or maybe after the racial fight over facebook by the few childish teenagers.
I began to be paranoid, is Singapore's future still going to be so smooth-sailing?

It's impossible to cover your eyes and ears now and claim that Singapore is safe and peaceful, and will continue to be safe and peaceful.
Ah, yes, we can see the impact of a effective education system~
With videos, with photos, with stories of unsafe countries.
I started to pay more attention every time I board a public transport.
I will look around and take note of everyone, and the immediate flash across my mind would be, "Would he/she be a potential destroyer?"

Think carefully, I am not being naive nor am I being overly-sensitive.
Do you really think Singapore is going to enjoy her peace, which she enjoyed for over 40 years?
What if, Singapore has been a target for over 40 years, just that the time is not ripe yet?
And the right time would be, when Singapore loses her security tightness.

In the past, if I see somebody with a cap, and with a big bag,
I will definitely think it is normal and ignore.
But if it happens now,
I might consider alighting the bus/train and taking the next one.

Honestly speaking, what would you do if terrorism were to strike Singapore?
Perhaps not terrorism, let's say natural disasters.
Nobody knows, temperature is going high crazy, there might be some tsunami or hurricane tomorrow.
Do you know what to do, when a crisis strikes?

Personally, I do not know, at all.
Do the rest of the Singaporeans know?
Are we prepared?
